The individual Caisses d’Epargne, the foundations upon which the Group is built, are regional mutual savings banks catering for the full range of customers: individuals, corporates, local authorities, associations and institutional investors. The individual Caisses d’Epargne own 100% of the Caisse Nationale des Caisses d’Epargne (CNCE). 
They guarantee complete financial security for their customers and are totally autonomous entities beneath the Group banner.

As dynamic players in the local economy, the Caisses d’Epargne's product offering is tailored to the specific needs of their customers. They strive to provide the highest levels of service in each domain, whether that be collecting and managing savings, dispensing loans, providing payment tools, managing assets, financing real estate, or selling insurance. They are continually diversifying, and are market leaders in retail banking.
Deeply rooted in the regions, they offer a genuine local presence, as well as the expert advice, technology and security that only the largest banking groups are able to provide.

Each Caisse d’Epargne is administered by a Management Board of between two and five members, approved by the Supervisory Board of the Caisse Nationale des Caisses d’Epargne, and is overseen by an 20-member Steering & Supervisory Board (COS).
